A recommendation letter is forwarded to the bank branch by Alankit. The recommendation and a request letter (find format at this link) for appointment and opening of a OD124 Account of BC by the Branch is sent to the regional office with the application and a KYC (find format at this link). The regional office authorizes the branch to open the OD124 Account after scrutinizing the documents. The Branch opens the OD124 Account and sends Alankit the excel sheet (find format at this link) for the generation of the KO ID. The regional office forwards the excel sheet to BCC for generation of KO ID with the authority letter from RM/DRM. After receiving the KO ID from BCC the same is forwarded to BC/Branch/Alankit. The branch also sends a duly verified copy of Aadhaar separately.

How to Register as a CSP?

Alankit has attained recognition as an efficient service provider for kiosk banking in the industry. Retailers can benefit greatly by registering themselves as a Customer Service Point (CSP) through Alankit and together contribute towards achieving the objectives of financial inclusion. Existing retailers will be required to work directly or under the retail merchandising unit (RMU) tree in accordance with the existing arrangements with Alankit. Those who are looking for new association with Alankit should enrol themselves as a retailer and then apply for SBI kiosk banking or Bank of Baroda kiosk banking. They are required to follow a set of simple procedures to get them registered as a CSP:

Step 1: The retailer must fill an application form which can be either downloaded online through Alankit website or by visiting any of the Alankit offices spanning across the country.

Step 2: After duly filling the form with relevant details, prospective retailers have to send their forms to Alankit. For verification purposes, they are also required to submit supporting KYC documents.

Step 3: The forms will be sent to the concerned department where the necessary verifications, validation and approvals will be done. Alankit ensures the CSP is informed about the status of their request in a timely manner. Once the form is verified and accepted, the CSP is trained. After the completion of training, the CSP is enabled to start transacting. The CSP needs to fulfil the certain infrastructure requisites for the enrolling the service. Moreover, the new CSP will be equipped with some facilities such as biometric reader, software, sign board, etc.
