It is now one of the most important documents sought after for leading a good life such as opening a bank account or applying for debit or credit card or opening an FD, or seeking a financial loan of any kind (home, personal or business-related) and many more of the likes. It has now become proof of identity in India. Ergo, the citizen of the country must get their PAN created at the earliest

The application process for PAN has been simplified now with everything going digital. The online process is a matter of minutes for you to get a new PAN Card online. Here are various services available related to PAN Card. Following are the easy steps to follow in order to apply PAN Card Online Hassle-free.

Stepwise Process About How to Apply for PAN Card Application Online Easily?

Step 1: Go to the NSDL website to apply for a new PAN Card online.

Step 2: Select the Type of application you are looking for (in this case ‘New PAN for Indian Citizen.’

Step 3: Select Your Category – whether you’re applying for individuals, a body of individuals, or association of individuals, and many more.

Step 4: Submit the PAN Card application form FORM 49A on the NSDL website.

Step 5: Fill In All the details required in the form in the format specifically asked in.

Step 6: Click on the “Continue with the PAN Application Form” button.

Step 7: Submit your digital eKYC information on the new redirected page.

Step 8: You now need to select whether you need a physical copy of your PAN or not and will further need to provide the last four digits of your Aadhar Number.

Step 9: Add your details, contact details, and other pieces of information required in the form.

Step 10: Make sure you read all the detailed instructions mentioned in the form before filling in the details. Once you are satisfied with the information you’ve provided, submit your filled PAN Card form.

Step 11: Next step involved will be making the payment for the PAN Card service. The charge for applying for PAN is Rs. 93 (Excluding Goods and Services tax) for Indian communication addresses. There is a charge of Rs. 864 (Excluding Goods and Services tax) for foreign communication address. The mode of payment for the application fee can be made through credit or debit card, demand draft, or net banking.

Step 12: Once you have filled in the payment details, submit the application fee and move on to the next step for document submission.

Step 13: You are required to send all the supporting documents via courier or post to NSDL. The PAN will be processed only once your documents have been received by NSDL. Following is the list of documents required:

  • Proof of Identity
  • Proof of Address
  • Proof of Date of Birth
