Who is a GST Suvidha Provider (GSP)?

A GST Suvidha Provider (GSP) is referred to as an entity authorized to provide simplified and convenient methods to taxpayers and other stakeholders for interacting with the GST Systems ranging from registration of entities, uploading of invoice bills, filing of returns. A GSP plays a crucial and strategic role in the ever-evolving new GST regime. With an attempt to build the GSP ecosystem, the GSTN ensures seamless functioning by providing a transparent & participative landscape to skilled & capable businessmen across the nation.

GST Suvidha Provider Concept

GSP denotes GST Suvidha Provider. A GSP is a service provider who helps the taxpayers with all services & laws related to GST compliance through its web-based interface. A GSP is conceived to enable innovative strategies by making two arrangements of collaborations, one between the App client & the GSP and another between the GSP & the GST System. GSPs play a superior role in the programmed compromises of purchases made and entered in the procurement register and details downloaded as GSTR-2 from the GST portal. In addition to this, GSPs are expected to satisfy the area-specific or exchange-specific requirements.

Considering the GST System has a G2B gateway for Indian taxpayers to access the GST system, a diversified range of taxpayers (SMEs, Large Enterprises, Small Retail Vendors, and many more) require various facilities such as to convert their purchase/deals register details in GST reliable format, to integrate their Accounting Packages/ERP with GST System, etc. Likewise, a GSP can meet specific industry needs in the GST regime. To put it in a simpler way, a GSP can help taxpayers in GST compliance through effective solutions.

Benefits of an API based integration:

  • Utilizing advanced technology across various platforms (smartphone, desktop, laptop, etc.) based on the specific requirements of individuals’.
  • Uploading and downloading information robustly
  • Ability to adapt to changing taxation infrastructure & business criteria & end customers’ usage models
